Surgical records, read by a surgical nurse.
I review medical records for law firms and show you what happened, in what order, and where care may have fallen short of the standard. I review all types of medical cases, with a specialty in cardiac, thoracic, and operating room care.

What I bring to your case
I review all types of medical cases. Surgical, cardiac, and correctional care are my specialties. Work is hourly with a retainer, and a rate sheet is available on request.
Case screening
A first read of the records to tell you whether the case has merit and what questions it raises.
Record review and organization
Sorting, paginating, and indexing records so the key pages are easy to find. Missing records are flagged.
Medical chronologies
A timeline of care, cited to the page, written so attorneys and juries can follow it.
Standard of care analysis
Where care met accepted nursing and perioperative standards and where it may not have, with the standard cited.
Deposition and trial preparation
Questions for providers, help with medical testimony, and plain-language summaries of clinical issues.
Locating expert witnesses
Help identifying the right specialty and type of expert for the issues in your case.
Hunter Watson, RN
I know what a surgical record should contain, and where it usually breaks down.
I'm a registered nurse in the cardiovascular operating room in Oklahoma City, with perioperative and thoracic surgical experience. Before that, I worked as a medic inside a correctional facility.
I still practice at the bedside, so my reviews reflect how care is actually delivered today. I take cases across all areas of medicine. When a case needs a standard-of-care opinion outside my specialty, I help you find the right expert.
